The Champion is a regeneration of the earliest Champion first produced in 1897. They replicated the Jacobean vine and floral design from the initial artwork of the wine opener. This Antique Pewter Plated Centennial Champion Wine Opener celebrates the 100th anniversary of the original patent filing and features a commemorative medallion on the opener. 
The wine opener is simply clamped to its absolute black granite table stand with matching handle. It is also available in Hardwood and White Wave Granite Table Stands and Handles. This is proudly hand-crafted in Virginia, USA. The champion corks and uncorks with ease.
How it works: Position the handle all the way to the rear, holding the bottle in right hand, place bottle between clamps until it stops. Grip clamps firmly with left hand. Rotate handle forward all the way down. The cork is now cleanly removed and your wine is ready to serve. To cork the bottle, rotate the handle to the rear and the bottle will drop into your hand.
